Position Summary

As an EKG Technician at ReactDx, you will play a critical role in reviewing data from cardiac monitors to provide physicians with results that help determine treatment for patients. This position requires a strong ability to read and interpret EKG strips, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with doctors, patients, and other departments throughout the organization. Our 24/7 facility offers shifts with differential pay available for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Use proprietary software to triage incoming data from ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices, seeking out urgent arrhythmias and making notification calls to physicians.
• Rapidly and accurately interpret EKG strips in a team work environment.
• Analyze data to prepare reports on clinical findings.
• Communicate with patients and doctors regarding clinical findings and troubleshoot device issues.
• Set monthly goals for personal progress and achieve them.
• Perform occasional overtime as needed.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

• Certification: Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CCT), RN, EMT-B, or EMT-P required (completion within 3 months of hire).
• Education: Successful completion of a basic, intermediate, and advanced ECG course.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare or other office environment.
• Skills:
  • Ability to interpret ECG rhythm strips without assistance.
  • Clear communication skills, including written documentation and verbal contact.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in groups and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional “people skills”.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken (second language a plus).
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access experience a plus), Google Docs.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Aptitude for learning new software programs and concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cardiac telemedicine or home sleep testing.
• Familiarity with proprietary software used in cardiac monitoring.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
