Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support via phone, chat, and email. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing our proprietary systems to access patient and medication information, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, while also ensuring accurate data entry, resolving complex issues, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Walgreens' solution data entry methodology and guidelines to process new patient enrollment, enter data into our systems, and handle patient medication requests in accordance with HIPAA rules.
  • Investigate and resolve missing prescription data, interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes), and settle data entry-related exceptions.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, chats, and emails with patients, prescribers, and internal stakeholders, providing timely and effective support.
  • Resolve Outsider Oddballs by assessing, gathering information, making revisions, and resubmitting for processing as per individual arrangement requirements.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and at various locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as needed.
  • Obtain and maintain an active pharmacist license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and keep it current.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn our proprietary systems.
  • Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing reports).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy expert with a state-recognized certification or nationally recognized certification.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
  • Moderate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and designing records).
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
