Job Overview: As a Painter's Assistant you'll play a key role in supporting our experienced painters, preparing surfaces, organizing tools, and assisting with painting tasks. This job requires you to travel to different job sites. Your shift will start and end on location, which may be anywhere in Western Massachusetts but typically within 25 miles of West Hatfield, MA.

If you’re eager to learn, work with a friendly team, and grow your skills in the painting trade, this position offers opportunities for advancement as you gain experience.

This is a PART-TIME position - 24h-32h/ week (3-4 days).

Day shift 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, scraping, cleaning).
• Set up and clean job sites.
• Assist with painting tasks under the supervision of a lead painter.
• Mix and prepare paint, stain, and other coatings.
• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on job sites.
• Other duties as assigned by the team.

Qualifications:

• No prior painting experience required; we’re happy to train you.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
