Job Highlights and Overview

This Senior Data Engineer position offers a unique chance to work on exciting projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines, database mapping, and batch processes using Apache Airflow. As a key member of the Information Designing group within Disney's Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Airflow, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines to support various projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements, validate data, and ensure data quality
• Develop and implement database schema, tables, and views to support business needs
• Build and manage batch processes using Apache Airflow
• Work with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
• Participate in driving best practices around data engineering and software development processes
• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless deployment across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and PROD

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in a Data Engineering role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and development
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
• Proficiency in Python and experience with data processing and analysis
• Experience with Gitlab/Github and Docker
• Strong understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
• Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with Apache Airflow, Databricks, and Snowflake
• Experience working in the streaming, media, or digital advertising industry
