Nursery Manager

Are you a horticultural student or someone passionate about plants seeking hands on experience at a working nursery specializing in rare and exotic plants, fruit trees and flowering trees? We're actively looking for people with a passion for plants to help with our palm, fruit tree, flowering tree and aroid plant boutique. Schedule and hours are flexible. Duties include but are not limited to: Plant propagation - Seed harvesting, cloning, cuttings and grafting. Nursery maintenance - Weeding and watering. Cleaning and organizing garden supplies, tools and containers. Create specific soil mixtures for various plant projects. Pruning and mulching fruit orchard. Shipping - Wraping and packing plant orders. Transport packages to local shipping carriers. E-commerce - Write and post plant product descriptions, produce high quality plant images, plant inventory control, and customer service. Ideal candidate is passionate about plants and a motivated self starter that enjoys physical work outside and or dedicated thoughtful, accurate plant related product support indoors. Basic knowledge of plants is a must. Potential onsite live/work space for the right candidate / student.
