About The Role

At G2, we're evolving our operating model to empower product teams and we are heavily invested in AI-first experiences. We build solutions with Ruby on Rails and React, emphasizing strong code design and quality. We also dedicate time to quarterly creativity weeks where engineers explore customer problems. In This Role, You Will: 

  •  Hire new engineers and support an inclusive process, lean in as coach and mentor

  • Focus teams on the outcomes through strong understanding of the customer and rapid iterative learning

  • Empower engineers through weekly one on one feedback conversations that help with continuous learning and level setting

  • Manage dependencies between teams with creativity and transparency that need to be met in order to achieve outcomes

  • Celebrate the success of the team and connect each engineer to the value they are providing to the company and those around them

  • Drive AI coding adoption across the engineering team, promoting best practices and innovative solutions

  • Foster strong technical collaboration with product management and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment on technical vision and delivery

  • Develop a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics or review platforms to inform technical strategy and product development

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  8+ years of programming experience, ideally in a web environment

  • Demonstrated learning in web software development skills

  • Hands-on experience empowered product delivery teams

  • Eagerness to take on responsibility and enjoys working creatively with a team

  • 1+ years experience leading engineering teams

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, ability to influence across G2.

  • Strong time management skills.
