Content Designer Lead

Role Objective:

 Lead a team of approximately 7 content designers, providing strategic, creative, and methodological direction while remaining hands-on in content creation. This role is key to defining and implementing Spin’s voice and tone across all digital touchpoints. The person will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive voice and tone manual, aligning how Spin communicates across its interfaces, and adapting tone variations by context and audience.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 • Lead and inspire a high-performing content team while remaining involved in hands-on writing and content strategy

  • Deliver high-quality digital copy for apps, websites, and communications that help users navigate and complete tasks effectively

  • Define and document the brand’s voice and tone system, ensuring consistent, scalable application across platforms

  • Communicate content design decisions clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders using storytelling, data, and user research

  • Partner with business and marketing teams to align content with broader brand goals and tone

  • Audit, improve, and guide the optimization of existing content, including collaboration with marketing and business areas

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, designers, and researchers throughout the entire product lifecycle

  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusion in all written interfaces

  • Identify research needs and integrate findings to improve content usability and experience

  • Provide UX writing guidelines that support the integration of AI-generated content into product experiences

  • Work within tight deadlines and iterate quickly on deliverables with cross-functional alignment

 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

 • 4+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or similar roles, ideally creating content for high-impact platforms with large-scale implementation

  • Proven experience leading both content efforts and people

  • Experience developing brand personality, voice, and tone systems

  • Expertise in communication strategy and crafting content that aligns brand and product goals

  • Strong storytelling abilities and a data-informed approach to decision-making

  • High comfort level collaborating with directors and senior stakeholders

  • Background in user research, usability, and content testing

  • Knowledge of information architecture and human-centered design methodologies

  • Understanding of marketing principles and how to speak to both brand and product audiences

  • Excellent written communication, microcopy, and UX writing skills

    • Ability to resolve conflicts, negotiate priorities, and drive alignment across teams

    • Creative problem-solver with adaptability to changing priorities

      • Interest in or experience working with AI-generated content and related technologies

      • Familiarity with tools and frameworks used in digital product teams (e.g. Figma, design systems, and ideally exposure to tech stacks such as React, React Native, Firebase)

     

Make sure you share a portfolio including examples of shipped apps, screens, and content design work (aesthetics are less important than clarity, quality, and impact)

 

This position is remote from México.
