We are currently seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Hard Surface Territory Manager. The territory for this position consists of Indiana, Kentucky and SW Ohio (Cincinnati/Dayton). The Territory Manager is responsible for using their knowledge of company products to expand the base of accounts, grow sales, and meet customer needs in the region. The Territory Manager will develop and implement a territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.

Responsibilities

Include: (but not limited to)

  • Selling Stanton hard surface flooring brands including SPC, WPC, Laminate, and Hardwood.
  • Increasing business and sales for existing accounts while developing new accounts.
  • Weekly travel throughout the territory (some overnight required, can change based on territory)
  • Strong and proven ability to sell and close deals on displays, samples, pallets, advertising, balanced with great and timely service.
  • Proven ability to foster meaningful, long-term business relationships.
  • Identify and develop nontraditional opportunities for sales.
  • Report to Regional Sales Manager who will work collaboratively to train, develop and coach to help you to achieve your goals.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports.
  • CRM adoption to manage territory.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Qualifications

Include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Territory Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Flooring industry background preferred.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of the product to potential customers.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people each day, build relationships and network.
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Luxury brand and high-end home furnishing experience a plus
  • Motivated, proactive, and hardworking, with strong problem-solving, creative thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and strong self-assuredness to succeed.
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with CRM a plus
  • Result-driven and can back strong, well-formed opinions with evidence
  • Take pride in your attention to detail, highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced, autonomous, deadline-oriented environment.
