Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Learning Design Professional 2 uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Learning Design Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

  • The Learning Design Professional 2 analyzes content, organizes content, designs solutions, and writes storyboards, scripts, performance support, mobile learning and manuals.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to create course content. Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
  • Assists senior and lead to track and analyze the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
  • Knows how to use tools to facilitate learning. Collaborates with senior and lead to develop training curriculum, materials, job performance aids and programs to meet specific training needs.
  • Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives.
  • Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and receives guidance and direction where needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in healthcare related field, learning design/instructional design or education.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of development experience specifically in training materials, SOPA (Standard Operation Procedure Announcement), process flows, and/or job aids.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft and other applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, Visio, Articulate).
  • Progressive business experience with a focus on learning strategies and adult learning theories.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Learning and Performance; Education; Organizational Design or Related field.
  • Managed Care: Medicare/Medicaid experience
  • Experience in care management or utilization management.
