Sr. UX Writer

What you can expect As a Senior UX Writer on Zoom’s Product Design team, you’ll play a crucial role in defining and maintaining content standards across our suite of products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to write content that helps Zoom’s users effortlessly navigate through the various products across the platform. Additionally, you’ll create and educate product and design partners on content guidelines and best practices for crafting microcopy. Together with a skilled team, you’ll elevate the user experience through content, ensuring interactions are intuitive, clear, and engaging. About the team Join Zoom’s UX Writing team, where we craft scalable, cross-platform copy solutions for consistent user experiences. We work closely with our design and product partners to deeply understand user needs and craft content that guides and delights our users. Our team works with designers to tackle complex design challenges and create impactful experiences that inspire millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision and uplevel the UX Writing discipline at Zoom.
• Partner closely with the cross-functional team to deeply understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints and to influence product direction through content.
• Shape and contribute to product-level content strategy and scalable content patterns that create a consistent, seamless user experience across the Zoom ecosystem.
• Create and host training sessions for writers and non-writers to scale the content strategy across the triad of design, product, and engineering.
• Co-own and evolve our content style guides to ensuring they are comprehensive, up-to-date, and effectively adopted across teams. Champion content governance and consistency at scale.
• Work on exciting AI-first products and lead the content strategy for AI writing at Zoom.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX writing, crafting clear, concise, and user-friendly content that enhances digital experiences.
• Experience coaching and leading other UX Writers and designers by providing critiques and training
• Facilitation and leadership skills - you can work dynamically across multiple teams and bridge gaps between product areas
• A strong portfolio highlighting your content strategy and UX writing skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Salary Range or On Target Earnings: Minimum: $124 000,00 Maximum: $271 200,00 In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value. Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
