Senior Data Science Analyst (Part-Time Remote Opportunity)

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Search and Recommendations Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with Wayfair's vast datasets to inform the development of our recommendations. Collaborating closely with a high-performing team of experts, AI engineers/data scientists, and product managers, you will be at the forefront of the product recommendation space.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, run, and analyze the results of A/B tests of new recommendation algorithms and systems
• Develop and implement KPI reporting and monitoring, including anomaly detection tools and advanced estimation approaches
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to generate new insights and inform our product recommendation roadmap
• Utilize and develop our in-house digital tools to drive efficiency and productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and AI partners
• Communicate key insights and recommendations to executive leaders across the organization

Requirements

• Strong analytical or data science experience with e-commerce organizations
• In-depth knowledge of SQL (including capabilities, query optimization, stored procedures, string parsing, Vertica/Hive/Voila/Flash, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of Python and Python tools (Jupyter notebooks, libraries, pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, etc.)
• Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business decisions
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms/methods (decision trees, random forest, deep learning, etc.) within a business setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive attitude
• Ability to drive results, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
