Sr. WordPress Plugin Developer (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features for our plugin portfolio, with a focus on WP Activity Log and WP 2FA
• Identify and implement AI integration opportunities to enhance our development workflows and product features
• Review, contribute, and improve our existing open-source codebases
• Collaborate with support and product teams to troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress and web security trends
• Uphold high code quality standards through thorough reviews, testing, and best practices
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing WordPress plugins (free and/or premium)
• 6+ years of experience working with PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, including hooks, REST API, security best practices, and performance
• Solid knowledge of WordPress/web security, with experience in logging/logs, authentication, and user account security
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience with AI tools, especially those that accelerate development or enhance plugin features
• Experience with Git and conflict resolution
• Comfortable working in a remote team and capable of working independently
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
