Job Summary:

The EAP Consultant will perform clinical telephonic assessments and consultations, deliver comprehensive referrals, and ensure diligent follow-up for managers, employees, and their family members covered by the Employee Assistance Program. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and urgent clinical risk assessments, offering expert consultations, short-term issue resolution, and comprehensive referral services
• Provide management consultation services to various levels of management and human resources, demonstrating proficiency in assessing workplace issues and devising suitable action plans
• Stay updated on issues affecting customers from both legislative and customer-specific standpoints, displaying a comprehensive understanding of the organization's customer base
• Engage in additional assigned duties to support internal and external customers in achieving the EAP department's goals

Work Schedule Options:

• Overnights: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Eastern, Monday - Friday on a rotating schedule, totaling 80 hours over a two-week pay period
• Days: Noon - 8:30 PM Eastern, Monday - Friday, including rotating weekends, totaling 40 hours per week

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in the mental health field, with a focus on assessment and treatment of mental illness and substance abuse
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws and their exceptions
• Clinical skills to perform risk assessments and develop action plans
• Strong customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Independent license
• Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP)
• EAP experience (2+ years preferred)
• Call center experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain calm in a crisis
