We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at PharMerica in Huntington, WV. As a non-retail pharmacy, we focus on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs of hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide.

Responsibilities:

• Fills prescription items, packages medications for dispensing and delivery, and meets accuracy and productivity standards
• Labels products, participates in periodic inventory, and checks in drugs and supplies
• Prepares medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, and communicates with internal and external customers
• Assists in training new employees and performs other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize and identify medications
• Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player with effective oral communication skills
• Pharmacy Technician license required; national certification and previous pharmacy experience preferred
