About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of experts. As a QA Engineer at Arena, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies.
  • Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and new features.
  • Conduct exploratory and regression testing for new features and releases, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor production issues, identify patterns, and contribute to the development of solutions to improve overall quality.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of our automated test suite using Cypress and Jest, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
The Challenges You'll Face:
  • Ensuring real-time messaging supports 100,000 concurrent users per customer application.
  • Maintaining high-performance API responses in the 10ms range.
  • Scaling our infrastructure using sharding, master-master, and master-slave configurations.
  • Ensuring high availability, with our code running on the homepages of the most visited websites and apps.
  • Managing distributed databases for our Data Platform, storing every user engagement.
Requirements:
  • 6-18 months of experience in QA or software testing.
  • Familiarity with tools like Cypress, Jest, or Selenium.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Understanding of REST APIs and testing methodologies.
  • Strong enthusiasm for learning, collaboration, and growth.
  • Advanced English language skills (spoken and written).
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience with HTML/CSS and browser dev tools.
  • Exposure to mobile testing (iOS or Android).
  • Understanding of CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
  • Curiosity about distributed systems and scalability.
Example Projects:
  • Building automated test suites and test cases for web apps, mobile apps, and APIs.
  • Developing early warning systems to detect production environment errors.
  • Certifying production releases and ensuring quality standards.
  • Conducting manual testing where necessary, with a focus on automation.
  • Continuously improving and maintaining quality standards.
  • Analyzing error patterns to identify repeating issues.
  • Monitoring error and debug sources for production issues.
