Job Title: Amazon Warehouse Package Sorter - Immediate Hire Opportunity in Hayward

Job Description:

Join the Amazon team as a Package Sorter and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring that orders are accurately sorted, packed, and shipped to meet the high standards of Amazon's fast-paced and dynamic environment.

In this role, you will work in a state-of-the-art fulfillment center, collaborating with a diverse team to receive and process inventory, prepare customer orders, and load boxes for shipment. Your attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and commitment to quality will be essential in ensuring that products meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and put away inventory in an efficient and organized manner
• Accurately select, pack, and ship customer orders, including those for our super-fast (2-hour or less) delivery service
• Utilize scanners to read bar codes on products and follow on-screen prompts to complete tasks
• Troubleshoot problems and ensure that products meet quality requirements
• Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet (equipment training and certification provided)

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts up to 60 pounds
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
