Key Responsibilities:

• Provide sound legal advice and representation to city officials, employees, and agencies on municipal law topics, including land use, real estate, and employment law
• Conduct detailed legal research, draft legal briefs, and prepare oral arguments for court proceedings and administrative hearings
• Develop and maintain relationships with allied agencies, coordinate inter-agency efforts, and represent the city's interests in various forums
• Prepare contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents to support city projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and city employees to provide legal guidance and support

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university program
• Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado (or admission to practice within 60 days of hire date)
• Minimum of five years of legal practice experience required for Attorney II position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in municipal law, land use, real estate, or employment law
• Training or experience in transactional representation and legal advice on city infrastructure projects
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
