Job Title: Director, Amazon Retail Planning - Growth Catalyst

Job Summary:

We're seeking a seasoned retail planning expert to join our Amazon team as a Director, Amazon Retail Planning. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth, optimizing inventory management, and developing strategic plans to meet financial goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive retail plans to drive sales growth, improve inventory management, and increase profitability.
  • Forecast daily sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust projections based on consumer behavior, seasonality, and promotional events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and supply chain, to align on assortment strategies, promotional plans, and inventory management.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive merchandise plans to meet financial goals, analyzing historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive activity, and consumer behavior, conducting market research to identify new opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management, driving business decisions and growth initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, business management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in retail planning, preferably with Amazon account experience within an e-commerce company.
  • 5+ years of experience with analytics tools, business and shopper insights, and data-driven planning and optimization.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced predictive formulas, and Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience delivering and presenting data and insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth understanding of retailer reporting platforms and forecasting tools (Vendor Central or Seller Central preferred).
