Event Experience Coordinator

We're seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Event Experience Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including kids' birthday parties, within our Michaels store. As an Event Experience Coordinator, you will deliver exceptional customer service, create a stress-free and fun experience for our guests, and ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously, including children's birthday parties and craft classes
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, face painting, and other activities
• Communicate events with clients and store team members, ensuring seamless execution
• Provide exceptional customer service, helping customers shop and find what they need
• Maintain store recovery standards, participate in truck unloading, and perform merchandise duties as needed

Requirements:

• Retail and/or customer service experience required
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
• Experience working with children and children's events
• Good communication, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain standing for long periods, move throughout the store, and lift heavy boxes
