Responsibilities

• Support small group and one-on-one instruction to present, guide, and reinforce skills, concepts, and strategies
• Maintain and update student records, monitoring and recording academic and behavioral progress
• Prepare instructional materials, supplies, and equipment for lessons
• Participate in meetings, professional development activities, and substitute for fellow workers as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and codes of the profession

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Educator License with Stipulations - Paraprofessional or Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License
• Effective verbal and written language skills, with the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Ability to work well with students and staff, with a strong commitment to supporting student learning and achievement
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Experience working with children preferred, with a strong understanding of child development and educational principles
