After School Sports Coach (Soccer, Golf, or Tennis) - Elementary Education

Job Summary:

Coach Mercer LLC is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic After School Sports Coaches to lead soccer, golf, or tennis programs for elementary school students in Houston, TX. As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive and safe sporting experience for students, teaching individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a fun and safe sporting experience for assigned groups of students
• Teach individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play
• Be responsible for all equipment and manage student-coach ratios of 12:1
• Develop positive relationships with students and communicate effectively with Site Directors/Program Directors
• Demonstrate proper movements, monitor student form, and offer corrections as needed
• Utilize interactive platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet) for virtual coaching

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Pass a background check and obtain a Child Care License
• 1+ year of coaching experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to perform aerobic activities for extended periods
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Access to a device with internet access and interactive platforms
• Availability from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Mondays-Fridays
• Dependable with transportation to assigned schools
• Ability to work independently without supervision
