Job Summary

As a Michigan Online High School Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in an online environment. You will provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, support students' individual needs, and work closely with parents and learning coaches to advance student learning. This is a full-time position that requires 40+ hours of work per week, with occasional travel to school functions.

Essential Functions

• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
• Commit to personalizing learning for all students
• Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery
• Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic integrity
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and learning coaches
• Travel occasionally for professional development, student testing, and school functions (up to 25% of the time)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Michigan state teaching license
• Ability to clear required background check
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Experience working with high school students
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
• Experience teaching in an online or brick-and-mortar environment
• Experience with online learning platforms
