Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Sport Clinic Coach to join our team at the Longmont YMCA. As a coach, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes, teaching them introductory through intermediate skills, rules of play, and the Y Way to Play. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for sports and working with children, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach introductory through intermediate skills, rules of play, and the Y Way to Play to youth athletes
• Assist in officiating, parent interaction, and ensuring clinics run smoothly and safely
• Organize and engage groups of children, breaking down skills and explaining them in a way that participants can understand and perform
• Communicate and work with a variety of people, including kids, staff, other host staff, and community members

Requirements:

• Age 16 years or older
• Significant involvement and understanding of the sport
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days (we can help with this)
• Ability to organize and engage groups of children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
