As a Math Lab Tutor Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students in a lab environment, helping them to achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one, small-group, and drop-in tutoring to students in a lab environment, addressing their math-related questions and concerns
• Proctor exams and quizzes online and/or onsite, ensuring the integrity of the assessment process
• Grade exams and assign partial credit, providing constructive feedback to students
• Communicate effectively with the Coordinator, informing them of any scheduling changes or conflicts at least 24 hours in advance
• Assist with additional duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of the Math Lab

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at Florida Atlantic University, with a minimum of 6 credit hours (or 12 if international) and a 2.0 GPA
• Completion of a particular course in which tutoring is being done, with a grade of at least A-
• Recommendation from an instructor of each course you wish to tutor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Overall GPA of 3.25 or higher
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to relate to people from diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds
• High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
