Senior Research Analyst - Higher Education Practice Area

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Analyst to join our Higher Education Practice Area team. As a Senior Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality research and analysis to our clients, helping them make informed decisions and drive success in the higher education sector.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex research projects, including market analyses, best practices reports, environmental scans, and competitive benchmarking analyses. You will work closely with our team of experts to design and execute research projects, analyze and synthesize complex data, and develop actionable recommendations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct secondary research and analyze complex data to address research questions related to key topics in higher education
• Develop and execute research projects, including designing research methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and drawing key insights and recommendations
• Write client-ready reports and create other types of deliverables, such as presentations, infographics, and data supplements, to communicate findings to different audiences
• Employ a broad range of graphics and visualizations to represent insights and trends
• Identify actionable implications from analysis and make specific recommendations to clients
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, managing multiple phases of the project lifecycle and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Collaborate with junior researchers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise
• Edit and revise the work of others, ensuring that all deliverables meet our high standards of quality and accuracy

Requirements:

• Master's or doctorate degree in a relevant field, such as English, Economics, Journalism, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology
• 3-5 years of experience conducting market research or social science research, preferably in a professional or academic setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively to different audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
• High comfort level with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Familiarity with higher education and higher education databases, such as IPEDS, is preferred
• Experience writing for business or non-academic audiences is preferred
