As Director of Sales, you’ll lead a fast-paced, performance-driven team focused on helping entrepreneurs access capital quickly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for executing proven strategies, guiding daily operations, and mentoring a team across multiple sales channels - including Partner, Renewals, and Direct.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role plays a key part in driving revenue, managing performance, and delivering a consistent and customer-first experience across every touchpoint.
What Success Looks Like:
Here’s how your time might break down (actual time can shift depending on business needs):
Team Leadership & Management: Coach, mentor and support a team of 10–15 across multiple sales channels Revenue & Performance: Drive volume and unit growth through new originations and renewals Sales Operations: Oversee daily workflows, lead tracking, reporting, and adherence to sales processes Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service on aligned go-to-market strategies
How You’ll Be Measured:
- Submission-to-funding conversion ratios by market and channel
- Hitting or exceeding unit and volume goals across Partner, Renewal, and Direct channels
- Revenue growth driven by new originations and existing customer renewals
- Performance of team members against KPIs and daily call activity
- Timely delivery of team OKRs and individual objectives

What You’ve Done Before:
- Required: 2+ years of experience in small business lending or a similarly behaving industry (e.g., MCA, ISO/Broker shops, fintech lenders)
- Required: 2+ years of proven sales leadership experience (team lead, manager or director-level)
- Hands-on experience managing daily sales operations: lead assignments, pipeline conversion, call monitoring, and performance coaching
- Experience working across multiple sales channels
- Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree
Tools and Expertise You’ll Bring:
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar sales enablement tools
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; able to identify trends and coach accordingly
- Comfortable with leading daily standups, managing dashboards, and holding reps accountable
- Bonus: Experience in structured sales orgs or fintech platforms
What to Expect from Our Interview Process

Step 1: Initial Virtual Screen (30 minutes) A brief conversation with a recruiter to learn more about your background, interests, and alignment with the role.
Step 2: Role-Specific Assessment (60 minutes) This may include a case study, live walkthrough of performance metrics, or technical screen with a leader.
Step 3: Team Interview (1 hour) Meet with team members to assess role fit, leadership style, and alignment.
Step 4: Final Interview (45 minutes) A deeper discussion with executive leadership on long-term fit and growth opportunities.
Step 5: Offer & Background Check If it’s a mutual fit, we’ll move forward with a background check and present a competitive offer. We aim to complete this process within 2–3 weeks from your first conversation with us.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $85,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $175,000+
