The company was founded in 2017 by Martin Kassing and currently employs more than 180 people across Europe. Its latest €100m fundraising round (Series C) was led by Hedosophia and Sapphire Venture, with continued support from existing investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Motive Ventures, and Notion Capital.

At Upvest, we’re building Europe’s first fully comprehensive Investment API. As we scale, our internal technology ecosystem needs to be as modern, reliable, and secure as the products we ship. That’s where you come in.

Your mission

We’re looking for a TechOps Intern / Working Student to support our growing TechOps team. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how modern internal IT operations work, support our Berlin office, and help scale a smooth tech experience for every Upvenger.

What you can expect from this role

  • Support day-to-day IT operations — help manage hardware inventory, receive and set up new devices, and assist with laptop deployment, help maintain and troubleshoot office AV equipment to ensure seamless hybrid meetings

  • Helpdesk assistance — troubleshoot basic issues with laptops, SaaS tools, and internal systems (with guidance and support)

  • Collaborate with the TechOps team — assist in user onboarding/offboarding, hardware allocation, process automations, and documentation

  • Grow your skills — learn about endpoint management (macOS, MDM), SaaSOps, and automation tools like Okta Workflows and scripting

What you bring

  • You’re currently studying in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar)

  • You’re curious, proactive, and eager to learn — especially about internal IT, SaaS tools, and automation

  • You have a basic understanding of how computers, software, and networks work — and want to go deeper

  • You’re organized and detail-oriented; you like solving problems and seeing things through

  • You’re based in or willing to relocate to Berlin, and can work 15–20 hours/week

What’s nice to have

  • Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or an operational role (even through a side project or volunteering)

  • Some exposure to macOS, Google Workspace, or SaaS tools like Slack, or Okta

  • Interest in scripting or automation tools (e.g. Bash, Python, or low-code platforms)
