Property Accountant - Remote

See below for a summary for this position. Please note, job responsibilities may change from time to time based on business need. Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to Accounting Manager and Controller
- Prepare financials for multiple clients with different reporting requirements, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Monitor cash and ensures that critical payments are made timely and prepares funding reports as needed
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property managers in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for each individual property
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly
- Perform bank reconciliations as appropriate
- Act as a mentor to help train new or less experienced accounting staff
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ Years of Property Management Experience required
- GAAP experience required
- AppFolio & Entrata experience preferred
- MBA degree, CPA certification preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines with minimum supervision
