Senior Security Engineer II @ Clutch
About the RoleWe're looking for a hands-on Information Security Engineer to help scale Clutch's cloud infrastructure and security monitoring capabilities. You’ll work closely with security and engineering teams to improve detection, response, and operational maturity, while contributing to our ongoing SOC 2 and PCI DSS initiatives. We are builders and enablers — prioritizing automation, scalable practices, and a positive security culture.We partner closely with Engineering, DevOps, IT, and Compliance to design and implement controls that are as seamless as they are effective. We’re here to solve problems, not block progress.What You’ll DoWithin 3 months, you will:Assess current cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) monitoring coverage and identify areas for improvement.Stand up or refine key security telemetry tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, CSPM).Collaborate with DevOps to enable real-time alerting and response workflows.Support evidence collection and gap analysis for SOC 2/PCI DSS readiness.Within 6 months, you will:Implement enhanced detection rules for cloud infrastructure and workloads.Build internal runbooks/playbooks for incident triage and response.Optimize alert fidelity to reduce false positives and improve signal-to-noise ratio.Partner with compliance to ensure technical controls align with SOC 2/PCI DSS frameworks.Within 9 months, you will:Lead incident simulations and tabletop exercises across cross-functional teams.Define metrics and KPIs for security operations and monitoring performance.Drive initiatives to improve cloud security posture (e.g., IAM hardening, secret management, container runtime visibility).Serve as a security subject matter expert for audits and compliance check-ins.What You’ll BringExtensive experience in information security or security engineering, ideally within… Apply To This Job
