Velocity Vehicle Group is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing, high-performing and collaborative financial reporting and technical accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of financial reporting and technical accounting, this role will be responsible for producing financial statements in compliance with SEC caliber standards and assisting with financial audits. The role will develop a deep understanding of US GAAP and complex consolidations and will require the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do: • Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing accurate and timely reporting of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, while ensuring alignment with regulatory reporting requirements at SEC caliber. Interpreting and applying technical accounting standards to complex transactions and presenting in-depth solutions to accounting issues. • Consolidations: Complete consolidations of multiple entities and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements • Monthly Reporting: Complete monthly consolidations of financial statement supplementary information. • Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting. Identify potential risks related to financial reporting and develop mitigating controls. Documenting and maintaining detailed and comprehensive accounting policies and procedures. • Audit Support: Assist in quarterly and annual audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors - Formulate US GAAP/IFRS technical accounting positions for comparison with auditors. • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure efficient financial processes and accurate reporting. Partner with internal functions including legal, compliance and other departments to provide accounting guidance and understanding. • Special Projects: Participate in special projects related to financial reporting and compliance. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Active CPA or currently pursuing CPA, preferred • Workiva experience, preferred • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a financial reporting role, preferably for an SEC reporting entity • Experience with US GAAP and SEC caliber reporting regulations • Proficient in consolidating multiple entities • Experience with financial reporting and analysis • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Compensation: • $75,000-$90,000 based on experience • On-site position • Full Time Benefits Velocity Vehicle Group Offers: • Fantastic Culture • 401k + match • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance + HSA & FSA • Employer paid Life Insurance • Paid Vacation Days • Sick Leave • Company perks such as employee discounts, company events and training programs • Excellent Training and Career Advancement Opportunities Velocity Vehicle Group is an equal opportunity employer.
