Role Description

This role involves leading the Accuracy Engineering team responsible for scaling the development of tools and services to support:

  • Image accuracy improvement
  • Image interoperability (co-alignment)
  • Consistent image formation

You will lead the team developing these capabilities and have the opportunity to shape the tools and systems that enable them through:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (preferably Computer Science)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading teams and people management
  • Familiarity programming or leading geospatial teams
  • Familiarity with a range of software development methodologies (i.e., waterfall, iterative, agile, scrum)
  • Strong management, analytical, and written/oral communication skills

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher
  • 5 years of software engineering management experience, preferably in organizations using agile team-based practices
  • Strong sense of self-motivation
  • Successful at multi-tasking and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Able to identify and resolve project issues independently
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Program and project management experience
  • Knowledge of microservice-based large-scale systems
  • Working knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud technologies
  • C++ or Python programming expertise
  • Geodesic and/or photogrammetric expertise
