Senior Web Developer
About the Role
As a Web Developer at CleverTap, you’ll play a critical role in owning and managing the CleverTap website end to end. You’ll be part of a high-impact, cross-functional team, working closely with design, content, and marketing teams to deliver a world-class web experience that aligns with our business goals.In this role, you’ll handle both frontend and backend development, own the CMS, optimize for SEO and performance, and enable the marketing team with fast and flexible publishing workflows. You’ll have the opportunity to directly influence customer acquisition, brand presence, and the overall digital experience.
What will you do

Architect & Optimize: Own the website’s architecture, performance, security, and roadmap—aligning sprint themes with marketing goals.-
Build & Maintain: Develop responsive, accessible UIs (React/Next.js, HTML/CSS/SCSS, JavaScript) and implement scalable design systems and reusable components.-
CMS & Integrations: Integrate and extend headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Strapi, Webflow) and handle custom WordPress development.-
Compliance & Security: Enforce GDPR, CCPA, WCAG, and cookie-consent frameworks in partnership with legal and security teams.-
Campaign & Global Support: Rapidly deliver landing pages, personalization, and A/B tests for marketing; enable multilingual and geo-targeted experiences.-
Performance & SEO: Optimize for SEO, Core Web Vitals, and Lighthouse scores; debug and profile with browser dev tools.What are we looking for?
Must Have
-5–8 years of experience in full-stack web development, ( HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
-Deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React.js and Next.js.
-Strong understanding of component-based architecture, reusable design systems, and scalable UI libraries.
-Demonstrated experience building and managing headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Strapi).
-Hands-on deployment experience using platforms like Vercel, Netlify, or similar.
-Experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugin creation (optional but beneficial).
-Proficiency in build tools such as Webpack and Gulp.
-Proven implementation of web compliance standards including GDPR, CCPA, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
-Experience implementing and maintaining Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
-GTM Data Layer configuration and troubleshooting experience.
-Exposure to visual analytics tools like Crazy Egg and Zipy.
-Familiarity with HubSpot integration and event tracking.
Good to Have
-Experience with Angular (basic working knowledge).
-Experience in A/B testing and personalization tools such as Optimizely, Google Optimize, or VWO.
-Experience supporting global web experiences, including multilingual and geo-targeted content.
-Familiarity with CRM platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, and integration best practices.
-Experience with customer data platforms like Segment.
-Understanding of AJAX for asynchronous interactions.
