LastPass is looking for a Content Designer (UX Writer)

As a Content Designer at LastPass, you’ll be instrumental in crafting clear, user-centered content that empowers and guides our users throughout their journey. In this role, you will shape the words that guide millions through our platform - helping users feel confident, secure, and in control. You will play a key role in the design process, ensuring every interaction reflects the LastPass brand and meets users where they are.

About the team:

You will join a collaborative, cross-functional UX team that is redefining how people interact with security tools. We’re a group of designers, researchers, and content designers who believe that great content is essential to great design. Our work directly shapes the LastPass experience across platforms, and we take pride in championing clarity, consistency, and care in every word we write.

Who will you work with?

You will work closely with product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and marketers. You will also collaborate with fellow content designers to evolve our voice and tone, contribute to our design system (LastKit), and advocate for content strategy across the organization.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

• Write and edit user interface content for high-priority product areas
• Shape microcopy, feature naming, error messages, and onboarding flows
• Contribute to and evolve the LastKit writing guidelines and standards
• Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and terminology across the product
• Collaborate with UX and product teams to solve complex design problems through content
• Use research and data to inform content decisions and validate your work
• Advocate for content design best practices across teams
• Help define and scale the content design practice at LastPass
• Explore the application of AI in content design

What does it take to work at LastPass?

• Proven experience in UX writing, content design, or a related field
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong writing and content strategy skills
• Experience working within cross-functional product teams
• Ability to write clearly and concisely for diverse audiences
• Familiarity with design systems and content standards
• Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, collaborative mindset
• Strong understanding of UX principles and user-centered design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

It's great, but not required:

• Experience with security or SaaS products
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive writing practices
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience contributing to or managing a content style guide
