Location: Bengaluru, India About the opportunity The Enterprise Data Team is looking for a Release Engineer Lead responsible for defining and improving the enterprise data warehouse delivery process for Dayforce, a comprehensive, modern cloud human capital management (HCM) software and for other Dayforce-related products. What you’ll get to do • Architect and maintain build and deployment systems to facilitate continuous integration and delivery for rapid releases • Own and manage the release process with a focus on low lead time and high safety • Monitor and analyze build and release processes and identify areas for improvement • Establish standards and practices to support development teams in building robust, maintainable release pipelines • Develop turn-key solutions and platforms to create full-featured release pipelines for development teams • Collaborate with architecture team to develop standard cloud-native architectures • Work with and educate development teams on the use of build, release, and source control systems • Train development teams to use cloud-native infrastructure and the resources available in Azure • Develop a common development platform, including workflow, tools and processes to improve developer productivity and to increase application observability • Drive investigation and adoption of new and emerging software delivery practices, architectures, and tools • Manage and organize source code structure to increase maintainability and ease of deployment • Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering and Decision Intelligence teams to find opportunities for improvement in common development platforms Skills and experience we value • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math or Business or equivalent degree and experience • 10+ years of experience using DevOps GIT for source control and CI/CD • 5+ years’ experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Key Vault or an equivalent cloud technology • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and techniques • Experience automating build and deployment processes for applications ranging from large and monolithic to microservices • Strong understanding of enterprise data delivery processes • Experience with source control management practices and advanced branching techniques • Experience with Azure DevOps Build and Release Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis, Circle CI and Octopus Deploy • Infrastructure as code: Proficiency or working knowledge of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep. • Azure Monitor and Alerts, Log Analytics, and Application Insights experience • Solid knowledge of data languages such as SQL, Python, Pyspark, Powershell, YAML • Experience with or desire to work in an agile development environment (Scrum) • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills • Proven track record of quickly learning new technologies What would make you really stand out • DevOps Agent, service connection management • Azure Networking (vNets, Load Balancers, Firewalls, NSGs) • Microsoft Certification(s) AZ-400, AZ-305, or DP-203 • Azure Logic App / Function App and service plans • RBAC and AAD • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau What’s in it for you Dayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
