Job title: East Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools In- Person Tutor '23/'24 Company: HeyTutor Job description : JOB INFORMATION: HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in East Baton Rouge and we're looking to hire tutors who can assist elementary and middle school students during regular school hours. You will be working with students of all ages between K-8th grade. You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year. You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check and drug test. If you are passionate about a career in education, looking for consistent tutoring hours, or simply just want to provide some assistance to students in your community, this is the perfect opportunity for you JOB DUTIES: Prep area to start tutoring and pick up and drop off students from designated areas that will be communicated to you from the School Coordinator. Conduct small group tutoring session alongside other tutors who will have their own small groups. Take attendance and run lessons for online learning where applicable. Responsible for documenting student progress with applicable Tutoring Dashboard. Monitoring students? understanding and interactions with the lesson and assuring every student has a full grasp of the lesson. Engage and interact with the lessons alongside the students. Additional duties may be required based on the District/Student need. SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday. 5-6 hours per day. Schedules available are : M-F 8:25am-3:10pm and M-F 7:05am-1:30pm 9 Tutors needed during school REQUIREMENTS: Tutoring experience (great at working with kids) Comfortable working in a classroom setting Technology proficiency Clear FBI-DOJ background check PAY: Pay depends on experience and is determined at the time of the interview HeyTutor recruits, employs, trains, compensates, and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disabilities, age, veteran status and other protected status as required by applicable law.
