Key Responsibilities • Provide virtual instruction and personalized support to students with special needs, in both individual and small group formats. • Tailor lesson plans, teaching techniques, and instructional resources to address the diverse learning requirements of students with disabilities. • Leverage virtual learning platforms to deliver lessons, enhance student engagement, and foster a vibrant online classroom atmosphere. • Track student progress, evaluate strengths and areas for development, and offer constructive feedback to promote ongoing growth. • Collaborate closely with parents, general education teachers, and the broader educational community to design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to each student’s specific needs. • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring virtual classroom environment that supports student success and well-being. Qualifications • Master's Degree in Special Education or a related discipline. • Active certification in Special Education through North Dakota state or a commitment to obtain it prior to commencing employment. • Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and remote teaching technologies is advantageous; however, a readiness to learn and adapt is essential. • A sincere dedication to working with students with special needs and a commitment to providing exceptional education in a virtual setting.
