About the position The Field Investigator role at Target is focused on protecting the company's assets and ensuring the safety of team members and facilities. This position involves investigating theft and fraud, collaborating with law enforcement, and training field leaders to mitigate risks. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to influence partners, and expertise in criminal prosecution practices. Responsibilities • Drive business growth by ensuring the protection of team members and corporate facilities. , • Lead and support district and group teams in resolving significant security incidents. , • Train field leaders to identify and mitigate shortage risks in key divisions. , • Lead investigations into complex theft cases, including Organized Retail Crime (ORC). , • Develop and investigate major organized external and internal cases to prevent significant losses. , • Benchmark competition for trends impacting the industry and collaborate with other retail investigators. , • Influence and develop relationships with law enforcement and prosecutors to support investigations. , • Train business partners on external theft and fraud investigations and investigative tactics. , • Identify and communicate emerging risks and trends to stakeholders.
