Job Overview We are thrilled to present an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Medical Receptionist/Billing Specialist within our esteemed healthcare team. This part-time position is essential in ensuring high-quality primary care for our valued patients while working closely with both clinical and administrative personnel... Key Responsibilities • Act as the initial point of contact, providing a warm and professional response to all incoming calls regarding scheduling, billing queries, and medication refills. • Ensure timely responses to voicemails each day to assist patients with their scheduling, billing, and medication requirements. • Navigate patient charts efficiently to verify medication refill dates, appointment details, and demographic information. • Collaborate seamlessly with clinical and administrative teams on all billing-related issues. • Accurately process billing for patient visits on a daily basis. • Generate routine reports within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system concerning billing operations. • Aid in exporting documentation to other provider offices involved in the patient’s care continuum. • Utilize Excel and Google Docs for daily workflow tracking and reporting. • Perform necessary printing, copying, scanning, and mailing tasks as directed by the clinical and administrative teams. Required Skills • Proven experience in medical billing is crucial. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage positively with patients both in-person and via phone. • Strong organizational capabilities, enabling prompt follow-up calls related to scheduling, medication refills, and administrative tasks as directed by clinical teams. • A willingness to adopt a telehealth platform for remote work, with potential in-person responsibilities as determined by practice leadership in response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Qualifications • Previous experience in medical billing or a similar field is required. • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
