Key Responsibilities • Anticipate customer needs and effectively forecast product demand. • Negotiate competitively to secure optimal pricing, quality, and supplier service. • Uphold procurement policies to ensure compliance and streamline processes. • Maintain ideal inventory levels to balance supply and minimize waste. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on objectives. • Establish and nurture relationships with vendors and distribution channels. • Analyze performance metrics related to cost, quality, and inventory. • Address and resolve inventory issues and billing discrepancies at the store level. • Stay abreast of industry trends and assess promotional impacts. • Conduct store visits to evaluate program success and gather feedback. • Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure meticulous record-keeping. • Utilize remote access to procurement systems as needed. Required Skills • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or vendor management within the dairy sector or retail. • Familiarity with marketing, logistics, or store operations is advantageous. • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective relationship building. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or vendor management. • Strong knowledge of dairy procurement and inventory management practices. • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
