Job title: English Language Learner Paraprofessional (Spanish) Company: Fremont School District 79 Job description : Fremont School District 79 is seeking an English Language Learner Paraprofessional. REPORTS TO: Building Principal QUALIFICATIONS: Illinois Paraprofessional License Fluent in Spanish POSITION SUMMARY: The English Language Learner Paraprofessional works with students providing direct instructional support in their native language. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitates and/or monitors small groups of students to present, guide and/or reinforce skills, concepts, and strategies. Employs various instructional and motivational techniques to encourage student learning and achievement. Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of work with students and other staff. Maintains and updates records of student progress, attendance, test scores and/or personal information as requested. Assists in preparing instructional materials for use in class or ?pull-out? small groups. Assists in preparing supplies, materials, and equipment for lessons. Participates in all meetings and professional development activities as assigned by the building or district administrator. Monitors individuals and/or groups of students in a variety of settings to maintain a safe and positive learning environment. Supports and implements District policies and procedures, regulations, and administrative directives. Performs other related duties as directed by the building or district administrator.
