ROLE Join us in leading the daily operations of our Affordable Meals initiative, a DoorDash endeavor that offers delicious meals for less than $12 through DoorDash. Our vision is to make affordable dining a daily habit for everyone, with diverse options across cuisines. By partnering with top restaurants to curate their best dishes and craft new creations, we're reshaping the culinary landscape... With aspirations to become DoorDash's next billion-dollar venture by 2025, this role offers an opportunity to redefine how the world enjoys affordable, flavorful meals on a daily basis. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL • Serve as the operational support manager for Affordable Meals, handling technical and operational challenges such as menu setup, contract management, and quality control oversight • Take the lead in conducting customer interviews to gather valuable insights for our strategy and product team as they develop and refine this new feature • Engage in proactive B2B sales outreach, connecting with restaurants via email, phone, or SMS to understand their current experiences, onboard them into our program, and collaborate on menu offerings • Share your learnings proactively, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative internal and external processes to enhance our operations and partnerships ABOUT YOU • Humble Hustler - No job is beneath you. You believe the best way to learn about how to optimize a process is to first hack it together yourself • Prior experience in Operations Management, Support, Customer Interviews, and Sales preferably in the hospitality industry • Ability to manage ambiguity in a fast paced environment and being comfortable with executing with limited guidance • Coachable on Technology and Data - Ability to use communication and collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, Google Sheets in addition to internal systems at Doordash • Ability to learn and execute on multi-step processes such as new menu creation, onboarding set up, and quickly switch tasks when needed • Ability to operate at the lowest level of detail with excellent accuracy and productivity • Excellent Communication and Time-Management Skills - Ability to effectively articulate issues, understand problems and implement solutions while managing multiple home chefs • Passionate about people management and building relationships that have a strong foundation on empathy and emotional intelligence COMP/CONTRACT/LOCATION • $32-42 p/h • 1 month contract but will be extended through H1 should performance be satisfactory.
