Job title: Office Aide 4 Hour Company: Lubbock Independent School District Job description : The role of the 4 hr./6 hr. Aide is to monitor the cafeteria to facilitate a safe and orderly lunch period for the students of LISD. Responsibilities may include general clerical and classroom assistance during the periods before and after lunch. Major Duties: Follow local, state and federal policies and procedures. Monitor the cafeteria during student lunch period. Assist in managing student behavior to include crisis intervention. Assist in supervising students. Conduct other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal before, during and after the lunch period. Work in conjunction with Durham Transportation as a bus driver. Additional Requirements: Ability to work in variable environmental conditions related to temperature, humidity and other atmosphere conditions. Travel by car, van, or bus and with others. Physical ability to do lifting of 10 lbs. or more, extensive standing, walking, talking, occasional running and the ability to move with agility. Knowledge of or ability to learn behavior management intervention techniques. The ability to maintain emotional control under stress. The ability to understand and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate in oral and written form in English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow directives from the Principal and Assistant Principal. General Employee Requirements: Support and align work with the mission, vision, and beliefs of the district. Follow and support board policies in areas of related responsibility. Ensure district resources are managed effectively to maximize resources for student learning. Share in the development and implementation of district success plans. Actively participate in ongoing development to improve work quality and district contribution. Model integrity, work ethic, and professionalism as a suitable example for LISD students. Appraisal: Performance of this job will be appraised in accordance with Board Policy DNA.
