Job Summary This position requires a creative and high performing individual to lead development and discovery projects and programs for food protein ingredients. The candidate must have hands-on experience in Food Chemistry, Enzymology, and Dairy Science or related areas. A demonstrated ability for leveraging various processing technologies to prepare innovative concept products to create new... protein business opportunities. The candidate is expected to have rich research experience in food industrial to drive the true and practical product innovations. He/she must have high emotional intelligence and be able to interact smoothly with work associates (up and down the organization). Primary Responsibilities: Anticipate future industrial trends and customer needs and provides project and/or program proposals (strategic focus to build the R&D project funnel). Design and develop plans, proposals, and/or systems to initiate new products and/or improve manufacturability of existing products. Recognize problems/bottlenecks, uncovers root causes and promotes and drive solution. Lead project resource and research planning, and monitors execution to accomplish project goals. Monitor project execution progress to accomplish project goals. Coordinate interdepartmental and customer interactions involving technical issues. Train, direct, supervise and/or motivate various levels of staff. Serves as a company technical expert in relationships with external technology collaborators. Prepare and present technical papers and presentations for internal and external customers/contacts. Lead development and execution of comprehensive patent strategy for projects and/or areas of expertise. Adhere to all safety and quality requirements; enhance site safety.
