If so, why not become a Companion Call volunteer? People with dementia and their carers can become isolated and lonely, our Companion Call volunteers help to brighten up their lives. As a Companion Call volunteer you will be matched with someone affected by dementia and will phone them regularly to chat about anything that interests them. By dedicating a little time each week you’ll make a big impact, providing laughter, creating meaningful connections and helping people know they are not alone. This is a role that you can carry out from your own home at times agreed between your volunteer manager, the person you are calling and yourself.
