We are seeking a Permanent Associate Attorney with expertise in Insurance Defense to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in the field and a commitment to providing top-notch legal support to our clients. This role will involve handling a diverse caseload, working collaboratively with our team, and advocating for our clients in a variety of insurance defense matters. Why join us? • Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions. • Actively manage and drive cases from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and trial. • Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis on complex issues in insurance defense, ideally construction background. • Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on a wide range of insurance defense matters. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent client service. • Collaborate with legal team to develop strategies for complex cases. Job Details Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to the California Bar and in good standing. • A minimum of 1-6 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. • Proven experience in discovery, drafting motions, and cross complaints. • Strong knowledge of litigation process and experience in managing a high-volume case load. • Experience in construction and premises liability is highly desirable. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
