Job title: Fall 2023 Spanish Speaking Tutor (Virtual, Flexible, and REMOTE) Company: Tutored by Teachers Job description : Online Part-Time Tutoring Exciting Opportunity for ELA and/or Math Teachers Fluent in Spanish with daytime availability (8a-4p Eastern). Seeking Teachers and Tutors fluent in Spanish and English to perform VIRTUAL-only ELA and/or Math tutoring for grades K-12 students across the country with flexible hours and higher pay than most tutoring companies. This role doesn?t require you to be in a classroom. Tutored by Teachers (TbT) is on a mission to close the opportunity gap and advance equity in education by serving high-need students. We empower our nation?s teachers to provide part-time, online tutoring to students across the country. You focus on teaching, we?ll take care of the rest TbT pays $36.00 per hour for tutoring (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus for light preparation. For a one-hour tutoring session, that is $39.60 per session Our pay rate is often more than 2X the rate many tutors receive for online tutoring. This is not a full time role. Upon admission into our highly qualified TbT teacher community, you will be eligible to express interest in and accept tutoring engagement opportunities. Please note the pay rates may vary for different tutoring engagements. The Role We are seeking teachers fluent in Spanish and English to provide virtual small group ELA and Math instruction to students across the country (grades K-12) Tutoring engagements can run anywhere between fourteen to thirty weeks, and usually require a few hours of commitment during the week. We can?t guarantee staffing once you've been admitted into our community. We're currently seeking tutors for school engagements and need to fill the open time slots Mondays - Fridays. THANKS Requirements Experience teaching in U.S.-classrooms Comfortable teaching ELA and Math in Spanish and English Availability during weekdays 8a-4p. To be successful in this role, you must have: Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in the classroom Experience teaching in an online environment Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom Bonus points for: Experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction SPED or ELL teaching experience AP course experience (any APs) helpful Active teaching credential Dedication to advancing equity in schools Benefits We?re currently adding teachers to our TbT Teacher Community for engagement opportunities.
