We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Electrician Journeyman- 4 Weeks On, 2 Weeks Off! This Remote position offers an immediate start for the right candidate. Pay: • $49 - $54 per hour ST, $73.5 - $81 per hour OT ($3,430 - $3,780 per Week) • PLUS Per Diem Per Diem**: $35 - $70 per day ($210 - $420 per week) Schedule: • 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF; 60 hours per week (opportunity for more) • 36 weeks ON and 17 weeks OFF (22% MORE TIME OFF!) • Flexibility for special occasions, family needs, or other accommodations is available Work Location: • Watford City, North Dakota Workplace Benefits: • Overtime Guaranteed • Paid Company Housing and Meals ** • Medical Insurance (Individual and Family) • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • 401k with Company Match • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (Voluntary) • Life Insurance • Employee Assistance Program Licensing Information and Requirements: • North Dakota Electrical license OR • License from recognized reciprocal state, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Utah, Wyoming • Further information available at: https://www.ndseb.com/licensing/reciprocal-license-agreements/ • Reciprocal forms: https://www.ndseb.com/image/cache/Application_for_Electrician_s_License_by_Reciprocity_updated.pdf Essential Job Functions: • Reads blueprints, drawings and wiring diagrams • Converts production drawings to tasks and works with crew to complete • Pull and terminate power and instrumentation cables • Installs and repair of equipment, wiring or control devices • Performs preventative maintenance on motors, pumps, generators, etc. • Performs maintenance on electrical distribution systems • Maintains, identifies and clearly marks all electrical panels as to functions of controls • Trains and mentor’s Apprentice Electricians to ensure quality work and facilitate learning • Ensures all work is conducted in accordance with NEC and NFPA requirement as well as local, city, state, and national electrical codes, and all Company and Client standards. • Other duties as assigned Required Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma, or Equivalent • One (1) year electrical experience; industrial industry preferred • Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required depending on location • Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire Post Job Offer Requirements: • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: • Knowledge and experience with power tools, electrical equipment and construction equipment • Knowledge of electrical codes • Knowledge of proper electrical equipment use conducive to conditions and assignments including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including installation, test, maintenance and repair • Understanding of how electrical system operates under normal and emergency conditions • Understanding of electrical schematics, diagrams and blueprints • Verbal and written communication skills • Skilled in repair of electrical equipment, wiring, and other fixtures. • Strong mechanical, analytical and solution driven skills • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Etc.) • Basic math skills • Strong troubleshooting ability • Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown and recommend solution • Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines, etc. • Ability to give direction and oversight to helpers and apprentices Physical Demand/Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
