Job Overview We are in search of a meticulous and responsible Junior Bookkeeper to become a vital member of our dynamic finance team. This remote position offers the opportunity to support key financial processes, including customer billing, vendor payments, and month-end accounting functions, while collaborating closely with our Controller and Accounting Team. Key Responsibilities • Generate and submit daily invoices for Fresh and Frozen Seafood orders. • Ensure the seamless processing of invoices via customer portals. • Accurately match purchase orders to vendor invoices and verify the receipt of goods and payment accuracy, addressing discrepancies when necessary. • Assist the Sales Management team by reviewing invoiced gross margin reports. • Manage customer credit/billback processes effectively. • Organize and enter Accounts Payable (A/P) bills as required. • Confirm that all discretionary invoices obtain approval from department managers. • Maintain precise vendor records and an organized filing system. • Aid in reconciling storage bills with inventory prior to processing payments. • Participate in special projects as needed. • Process customer sales orders for billing once shipping documentation is received. • Contribute to the accounting month-end close activities. Qualifications • A strong sense of integrity and a proactive, positive demeanor. • Previous experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting field is preferred. • Familiarity with accounts payable and billing processes is advantageous.
