Job Title: On-Site Video Editor Location: St. George, Utah (In-person) Company: HopeScope (YouTube Channel) Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week), W-2 Employee Compensation: Competitive, based on experience, with potential for an increase based on performance. Trial Period & Relocation for Out-of-Area Candidates: • Candidates must be based in the United States to be eligible for this role. • For candidates outside the St. George, Utah area, the role will begin with a two-month trial period during which you will work in a hybrid position. • During the trial period, you will be flown out to meet & work with the HopeScope team in person! • The trial period is extended with the clear expectation that, if successful, you will relocate to St. George, Utah by the end of the third month. • Candidates must be fully aware of and committed to relocating to St. George, Utah if all goes well during the trial period. • We are seeking someone dedicated to becoming an integral part of our on-site team, not someone looking to remain remote. About HopeScope: HopeScope is a top-tier YouTube channel with over 5 million subscribers, producing content that inspires and entertains millions of viewers worldwide. Our channel focuses on delivering high-quality, long-form content with an average viewership of 2-3 million per video. We aim to elevate our content to new heights, striving for 10 million views per video. Audience Insight: HopeScope’s audience is predominantly female (80%), aged 14-34, who seek entertaining and uplifting content as a positive escape from their daily lives. The ideal candidate consumes similar content and understands the viewer’s perspective intuitively. Position Overview: We are expanding our team and seeking talented On-Site Video Editors to join our editing team based out of St. George, Utah! You will play a critical role in shaping the future of HopeScope. As an On-Site Video Editor, you will work closely with Hope and her creative team to craft compelling and engaging video content that resonates with our audience. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Hope and her team to review and refine Assistant Editors’ rough cuts. • Utilize your creative skills to edit and assemble footage into cohesive stories. • Apply advanced editing techniques, including sound design, graphics, and color correction, to enhance viewer retention. • Work on longer videos, typically ranging from 25 to 50 minutes. • Handle special projects that require creative problem-solving and a deep understanding of the audience. • Finalize edits after thorough revisions with Hope, ensuring the content meets our high standards. Ideal Candidate: • Possesses a strong passion for video editing and storytelling, with a desire to inspire the next generation of creators. • Is deeply familiar with internet culture and has a solid understanding of what makes content engaging and viral. • Has a proactive attitude, is reliable, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
