Job title: Chemistry Content Developer (Contract) Company: Macmillan Publishers Job description : Description : This position will be employed through Headway consulting firm working remotely throughout the US. The Chemistry Content Developer is involved in ensuring that our digital chemistry products are accurate and pedagogically sound. They are responsible for writing clear questions and solutions of varying difficulties, which test students understanding and application of concepts in Chemistry. They will author hints, solutions, and feedback that provide insightful diagnosis of student mistakes and misconceptions and coach students toward mastery. The Chemistry Content Developer will also be responsible for reviewing digital worksheets. Major Responsibilities: Writing clear, engaging questions which test studentÂs understanding and application of concepts. Authoring hints and feedback that anticipate common student errors, provide insightful diagnosis of their misconceptions, and coach them toward mastering the material. Creating solutions to these questions that are complete and concise. Inputting the questions, hints, solutions, and feedback into the software. Providing clear, concise feedback to other contractors in order to correct errors of content, spelling, grammar, and/or pedagogy. Reviewing digital content for accuracy. Required Skills / Knowledge: Strong knowledge base in Chemistry. Experience teaching General Chemistry. Ability to write conceptual questions. Experience writing original homework and/or test questions. Strong computer skills including the ability to quickly learn new products and technology. Recent experience teaching Chemistry and tutoring for Higher Education. Education Requirements: MS or PhD in Chemistry; PhD in progress will be considered Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week Pay Rate (Depending on Experience) $25 - $30/hour Location: Remote Education : Masters Expected salary : $25 - 30 per hour Location : USA Apply Job!Â
